Manfredi Clemente is a sound artist whose work ranges from installation to electroacoustic composition, as well as sound and music for theatre, performances and video works. The common thread is always a strong focus on space and places, from which derives an extensive use of field recording alongside analog feedback and synthesized sound.

In his more personal projects, his attention centers on the themes of perception of and relationship with the world, exploring the intersection between culture and nature through ecological, aesthetic, and mythopoetic perspectives.

He completed his PhD in Electroacoustic Composition at the University of Birmingham in 2017, under the supervision of Jonty Harrison. He is now Professor of Electroacoustic Composition at the Conservatorio A. Vivaldi of Alessandria, and founder of Almavox, a project based in Turin focused on territorial explorations and experimental music with a strong ecological imprint.
